Thankful for You

 

When I saw the new challenge yesterday at  "CHALLENGE YOURSELF" I immediately thought of this picture.   I had my fall papers already out for another layout so found this 2017 picture, printed it and made this layout.    This was such a great memory of the first Thanksgiving for my youngest and as it turned out my last grandchild for her first Thanksgiving at 10 months old.   It was such a great picture of both of us and so fun to scrap it again.    I know I have used it before for my granddaughters album at the time and now I'll add it to my chronological Thanksgiving album through the years.

Let's Go

I made this layout using the two challenges for Scrappy Friends.   First the November sketch at "ROCHELLE SPEARS BLOG".    I love this sketch and the torn paper look, will for sure keep this to use again some time.

Then next I picked out what to use from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for November  at  "SCRAPE WITH STACY".    I did the diagonal  Paint/Ink Splatters, Tag and Torn Edges.   I added a picture of our ticket for the train ride and put it on my tag.

Color ?

 I made this looking for Fall colors layout using the mood board challenge #775 at "LASTING MEMORIES".

End of the Day

 This is the last layout of the road trip with my brother to Galveston, TX for the annual All Mustang Car Show.   This ws on our way home our last dinner on the road, one more night in the hotel and then home.

I used the October sketch at "THROUGH THE EYES OR ROCHELLE SPEARS"

and then I used the Tic-Tac-Toe board at  "SCRAP WITH STACY"   making it work for the combo challenge for Scrappy Friends.   I used the middle column, Doily, Ephemera, Star.

Just Me

 

Thanks to "CHALLENGE YOURSELF"  for reminding me to get pictures of my self and make layouts.

I made this layout today for the October challenge #142 at "CHALLENGE YOURSELF".   To use Black and White plus one color you like.  I chose red to go with the top I have on.   I admit I wasn't sure if I would do this challenge because I just didn't know how to just incorporate black and white only.    But I started  looking though my paper and found this pattern of just black on white.   I knew it was perfect, without this challenge I don't know if I would have ever gotten around to using this paper on anything.  But with my paint splashes of red and the red card stock and patterned paper behind my picture and a tiny red flower embellishment, I'm so glad I pushed myself and did this challenge.

I used the sketch at "SKETCHES IN THYME"  for this layout.

Then I  made sure that I used the colors in the Mood Board Palette at  "LASTING MEMORIES."

I also used one of the Bingo Squares at  "SCRAPPING N CHATTING"   to use word/phrase stickers.
